My Ideal Veterinary University Essay -- Expository Definition Essays

The Ideal University   Ã‚  Ã‚   What makes an ideal university?   An ideal university is one which is student focused and centered on the needs of individual students.   Having lectures and classes, which exceed 35 students', makes it impossible to obtain the best education possible.   A university which is dedicated to making sure every student understands and learns at his or her own pace is one which is most effective.   My "ideal university" is one which only accepts those students whom are veterinary majors.   I have named my "ideal university" Jobs University.   Jobs University would be one which will focus strictly on veterinary medicine and will work towards producing successful veterinarians. Those students who are majoring in veterinary medicine, like me, would benefit to the highest degree by attending my "ideal university", Jobs University.   This university would be one which resembles the Waldorf system schooling which "has forged a unique blend of progressive and traditional teaching methods that seem to achieve impressive results - intellectual, social, [and] even moral" (Oppenheimer 71).   The effectiveness of the style of teaching and its effects on the students learning would be only part of the benefits of this university.   Among basic academic subjects, the focus of study is math and sciences, subjects that are needed to become successful veterinarians.   David Alsop, chairman of Association of Waldorf Schools of North America, calls these types of institutions the world's "best-kept education secret" because of their effectiveness in providing the best learning experience and environment (Oppenheimer 71).   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   In order for a student to obtain the best education possible, one needs ind... ...ember, 1996.   (74:11) 5.   Expanded Academic ASAP. 1 December 2002.   Keyword: Animal Science. http://web3.infotrac.galegroup.com/itw/>.
